Indore: Three Youths Arrested for Urinating Near Hanuman Temple While Intoxicated, Video Goes Viral


Police in Indore arrested three youths for allegedly urinating near a Hanuman temple while under the influence of alcohol in the Moti Tabeela area, which falls under the Raoji Bazaar police station limits. The action was taken after a video of the incident surfaced on social media, triggering public outrage.


According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday, when the three youths were allegedly involved in indecent behaviour outside the temple. Following the circulation of the video, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activist Tannu Sharma lodged a complaint with the police and demanded strict action. Bajrang Dal activists also warned that they would take action if police failed to act within 24 hours.


Based on the viral video and CCTV footage provided by local residents, police identified and arrested Arpit Chauhan, Raja Dubey, and Kamal Ahirwar on Sunday. The accused were booked under restrictive sections, and further legal proceedings are underway.


During questioning, the youths admitted their mistake, held their ears, and apologised at the police station, stating that they were intoxicated at the time. They assured police that they would not repeat such behaviour and expressed regret if religious sentiments were hurt.


Police said the matter is being dealt with seriously to prevent such incidents in the future.
