Rae Bareli Kidnapping Shock: Lawyer’s Minor Daughter Abducted, Tied to Chair; Police Rescue Her From Hotel
A sensational kidnapping case from Rae Bareli has created panic across the district. The minor daughter of a civil court advocate was abducted on Wednesday in broad daylight, and within hours, the kidnappers sent a chilling photo to her mother’s Instagram inbox. In the image, the 16-year-old was tied to a chair, her hands bound behind her back, her mouth gagged, and fear visible on her face. The message warned, “Save your daughter if you can. Otherwise, her body will be found in the river tomorrow.”
The incident took place in Bela Tekai village under the Bhadokhar police station area. According to the family, the girl was alone at home in the afternoon. Her younger brother was at school, and her mother had gone to a beauty parlour. When the brother returned home around 1 pm and found her missing, he informed their mother. The family immediately alerted Dial-112 and began searching.
A formal complaint was lodged at Bhadokhar police station. The Superintendent of Police formed special teams, activated the cyber cell, and began scanning CCTV footage. Tension prevailed in the village, with residents deeply disturbed by the threatening messages circulating on social media. The advocate father demanded swift action, stating that his daughter had no enmity with anyone.
During the investigation, the police traced the threatening Instagram account, which appeared under the name “Nishant Yadav 21644.” Through surveillance and technical inputs, teams from SOG, Bhadokhar police, and Unchahar police located the girl late at night at a hotel in Unchahar.
She was recovered safely, and two suspects — Sahil Maurya of Kanjaha village (Salon) and Vikas Kumar of Milkiyana village — were arrested. According to SP Dr. Yashveer Singh, the girl had known Sahil for the past one and a half years, and Vikas assisted in the conspiracy. Both are currently under interrogation. The police have handed the girl over to her family and stated that further investigation is underway.
