Indore Man Tries to Run Over Ex on Activa After She Refuses to Reconcile


Indore: In a shocking incident in Kalpana Nagar on Wednesday evening (September 24), a young man allegedly ran over his ex-girlfriend with a speeding Activa after she refused to resume their live-in relationship.


According to Hiranagar police station in-charge Sushil Patel, accused Rajendra Chaurasia first confronted the woman on the street, insisting on living together again. When she refused, an argument ensued. Angered, Rajendra left but soon returned on a speeding Activa and ran over her. The woman tried to defend herself by picking up a stone, but he did not stop and fled the scene. Passersby helped the injured woman.


CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, and the woman has filed a complaint. Police have registered cases of molestation and attempted murder against Rajendra, who reportedly has seven prior criminal cases. He is currently absconding.


Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman and Rajendra had previously lived in a live-in relationship. Rajendra, who was addicted to drugs, had displayed violent behaviour, prompting the woman to end the relationship and move to Mumbai for work. After returning to Indore following her father’s death, she became a target of Rajendra’s harassment.


The police recorded the woman’s statement at the hospital and conducted a raid at Rajendra’s residence on Wednesday night, but he could not be apprehended.

Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured

  In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.  The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.  The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
