Chandigarh’s Bizarre Theft: Thieves Risk It All for… Dustbins!

 


Chandigarh – In a peculiar case of theft, a resident reported on social media platform X that two masked men stole not cash or jewellery, but two dustbins kept outside his house. The incident, captured on CCTV on 14 August around 4 PM, shows the duo arriving on a scooter, one closing the gate before swiftly picking up the dustbins and fleeing.


The 37-second footage reveals no visible number plate or clear identity. Responding to the viral post, Chandigarh Police asked the complainant to approach the local police station for further action. The unusual theft has left netizens baffled.

Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured

  In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.  The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.  The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
