Car Driver Brutally Assaulted for Stopping Wrong-Side Biker; Police Register Only NC Case
Pune – A shocking case of road rage in Khadki has sparked outrage after a car driver was brutally beaten for stopping a biker riding on the wrong side of the road. The incident took place on Monday around 5:30 PM and was caught on video, which has since gone viral.
According to journalist Steffy Thevar, two bikers first attacked the driver, and soon two more joined in. The victim was thrashed so badly that his shirt was soaked in blood. A CT scan later revealed a nasal bone fracture and damage to the anterior bony nasal septum, raising fears of internal injuries.
Shockingly, despite the severity of the assault, Khadki Police registered only a non-cognisable (NC) offence, triggering public anger. Thevar questioned the response, asking: “WHAT DEFINES INTENSITY? How is this not enough for an FIR?”
Concerns have also been raised about the emergency helpline, as the victim reportedly received only an automated message when dialing 100, instead of immediate assistance.
The case has ignited widespread debate on social media over lawlessness on city roads, poor police response, and the urgent need for stricter legal action against road rage.
